Marybeth Wakefield, RN, MSN, FNP-BC

Nurse Practitioner located in Walnut Creek, CA

About Marybeth Wakefield

I received my Masters degree from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1998 as a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.  Upon completing the Masters program I moved to the Bay area for my  first job as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

For the past 24 years I have worked in a variety of settings including women’s health and family practice.

I truly enjoy taking care of women throughout their lifespan, from adolescence to midlife and beyond. As a woman in midlife myself, I love helping women navigate this sometimes tricky transition. I believe that women in perimenopause and menopause do not need to suffer, and deserve to live their best life.   It is important to me that my patients feel heard and well taken care of.  I value all aspects of the patient-provider relationship including patient education, health maintenance and disease prevention.

Outside of work I enjoy all things wellness, including fitness, nutrition, and mindset. Reading a good book and spending time with my husband and three children is what brings me the most joy in my life.
