Deborah Landes, CNM, WHNP-BC

Certified Nurse Midwife located in Walnut Creek, CA

About Deborah Landes

As a certified nurse-midwife and women’s health nurse practitioner, Deborah Landes specializes in providing compassionate and personalized care to women of all ages.

Deborah has been involved in healthcare for a good portion of her life. Her professional journey has taken her from working in a variety of medical assistant positions to her passion - working with women as she apprenticed with a certified nurse-midwife. When raising her two sons took priority, she stopped apprenticing; however, she kept pursuing her goal to walk alongside women by providing labor support as women birthed their children.

After homeschooling her two sons through high school, Deborah decided she had to continue her dream of becoming a women’s healthcare provider. She returned to school, obtaining her BSN through California State University East Bay’s nursing program. After becoming a registered nurse, she was accepted into Georgetown University’s graduate program, earning her advanced degree as a nurse-midwife and women’s health nurse practitioner.

Joining Leach OB/GYN in the spring of 2019, Deborah realized that she had joined a healthcare team that matched her philosophy and approach to care of women across their lifespan. As a healthcare provider, Deborah aspires to provide care with the ultimate goal of helping women achieve their optimal health and wellbeing.

When she isn’t providing healthcare to women, you can find Deborah spending time loving on her grandchildren, working out with friends, hiking with her husband, or working on one of her various creative projects.
